“I've been using this ski in a 176cm length for two seasons, and it's my go-to ski for everything but the hardest boiler-plate New-England ice. I love the relatively tight sidecut radius compared to similar all-mountain skis of this width. I'm a big guy (210lbs) and I have found that if I edge hard on hard snow, the ski will start to skip across the snow and in the worst cases I'll go into a baseball slide. I suspect this is due in part to a lack of lateral stiffness in the connection between the bindings heal-piece and Rossignol's mounting rail, allowing my edge angle to decrease as I apply an increasing load to the ski. With the ski clamped to a bench and my boot locked in, I can flex the boot from side to side about 1" to 1.5".If you're lighter than me you may not have the same issue though. Other than this I love the ski, and I'll probably remove the binding and rail and mount a more traditional binding directly to the ski this summer.”
