Rossignol BC X3 Nordic Backcountry Ski Boots - BC NNN (For Men)

I don't know what it is about Sierra TP and footwear, but seems like every time I buy from them one shoe appears to have been previously worn while the other seems new. Onetime I bought a pair of boat shoes. When I pulled them from the box one shoe already had creases formed in the leather. It looked as though someone had worn one without the other for a couple of days before deciding to return them. This time the one shoe had someone's disgusting old arch support left inside. Anyway, I tossed the arch and the boots seem to fit and feel fine. I ordered mine extra large and I am glad I did, since they seem to run a bit undersized. If you order a pair order at least one size up. Can't wait to try them out. Great ankle support system. The only reason I gave four stars and not five was for the arch support issue.

I have had a pair of these boots before and they are great... be careful because it is common for the zipper to blow out. Such a good deal I decided just to be super careful and hopefully these ones would last. Seem to run a little small so I ordered one size larger and they are great. You can always add a sock. Super good Value

Haven't done more than try them on, but I expect they will work for me. I have faith in Rossignol. Good ankle support.

Boots are comfortable right from the box. Size was exact. Boots fit well in the NNN BC manual bindings.

I use these with metal edge sintered skis. Good control, with flexibility that doesn't pinch. The speed lacing will slip, suggest removing the slide tab and use a knot.

Reasonable boots and quality at the price... if they fit your foot they will work well for you for backcountry touring (note you must have BC NNN bindings for these to fit your ski). These boots must get warm inside initially for the liner to conform to your foot. I suggest wearing them inside on carpet or gently heating the inside with a blow dryer before deciding on fit. I have wide feet but a narrow heal and found the fit good after doing the above.

Seemed like a great boot; however, I was hoping I would fit into the 45's (I normally take a 46) in order to take advantage of the closeout price but they were too small. I ended up returning the X3's and ordering the Rossi X2's in a size 46. I really liked the zippered lace cover on the X3's and unfortunately that feature is not on the X2's.

These are great boots.... BUT The pin which clicks into the NNN bindings is quite thick and doesn't work with all NNN bindings (at least none of mine). I tried it on three of my skis and none of them worked, so I had to return the boots. I really would have liked them but I would have to have found new bindings that accept the thicker pin.
