Bottom Line:

“Bought these for my 8yr old son to learn backcountry telemark turns. The skis have very little camber so would not be the best choice for long distance kick & glide ventures but for the price they make an excellent WAXABLE fat backcountry metal edge ski for a child just learning how to make telemark turns in ungroomed territory. The wide ski & metal edges make it much easier to navigate in deep ungroomed terrain compared to a skinny cross country ski.At 8 my son would much prefer less distance & more hills to turn on so I think they'll make an excellent first metal edge ski. We'll eventually hit the slopes w/them since they are designed more as a groomer tele ski but can certainly be adapted to work for the backcountry. You can't beat the price for such a fat ski!!!”
