“Sweet ride, keeping my fingers crossed..”

“Purchased a pair of (168) '07/'08s from Sierra Trading Post at significant discount and had a pair of 22Ds Axls mounted on them. For a lighter skier(140#s) these appear to have preserved longitudinal flex in the tips and tails with reduced torsional flex providing edging and quick turns on steep, firmer snow and moguls. I have skied alpine for 40 years and began teleing two years ago. Now, I tele 40-45% of the time on the mtn and these with more side cut and narrower dimension under foot (than my BDs with Hammerheads) with the Axl set up is awfully sweet. On a big powder day at Steamboat, it will be more difficult to decide alpine vs. tele equipment now. Haven't obtained skins for these but looking forward to more out of resort activity with the improved technical ability on these boards next season.
