“Very Poor Construction”

“I bought these boots on a close-out two months ago. I thought they were fantastic on the couple short (1 hour or so) skis in the local mountains. But the third time I used them was on an all day ski in the Sierra Nevada, and they fell apart less than two hours into the day. To be clear, when I say 'fell apart', I mean fell apart. The sole of the left boot just fell off the upper. Apparently it was held in place with a thin strip of glue and nothing more. Cross country skiing out of the mountains on one ski is less entertaining than it probably looks to others. Buyer beware!”
