Rossignol Voodoo Alpine Skis with Saphir 110 Bindings (For Women)

I LOVE these skis. The sidecut allows for very short, quick turns, which let's me more confidently ski more advanced runs. They're fat enough to ski off piste, which is great. They're excellent all mountain ski that give maximum flexibility if you only have one ski in your quiver. I also really like the forward position of the "woman's ski". It makes turn initiation much easier. Love, love, love these skis.

I rode these skis for most of the 09-10 winter season, and loved them. They were stolen off my front porch. Much to my surprise and delight, I was able to purchase the same wonderful skis to enjoy the coming ski season. They are great on groomed runs and off piste.

I used these off piste in Telluride all of 09-10. The are the best anywhere ski. They hang on steeps when you need; perfect for variable conditions and moguls. There are probably lighter skis for hike-to but sooo dependable;worth the exercise! Can't comment on backcountry from last season.

Nice Skis

This is a durable, inexpensive, all mountain ski for the average skier. I used it as my first ski coming back from a long hiatus (> 5 years away from the sport) and it is easy to drive, does reasonably well on powder (nothing in comparison to today's "fat" skis)and is relatively springy/forgiving. It can handle groomers easily, moguls without issues, and can carve pretty well on the icy downhill spring days of NW Montana. Powder days are fun with these, but if you're truly looking for a backcountry off-piste powder ski, go wide (I now have the Rossi S7's - 110 mm underfoot). My only two gripes are that they are heavy (both bindings and skis - typical for Rossi's), and it is an integrated binding system, so you're stuck with what comes in the box, and there are much better bindings out there. Plus, if you ever want to switch to and AT or Tele set-up with your skis, it's a no-go. All in all, I don't think you'll find a better intermediate-level women's specific all-mountain package for the price (even if you're grabbing this year's demos used...).
