I like these shorts but they may prove to be warm in extremely hot climates. The majority of the material is a non breathable polyester similar to what you would find on a gym bag or hydration backpack. To help them breath easier the front panel polyester material is perforated w/ small vent holes. Comparing to the illustration the non-black area from the crotch to the waist has perforations. The black area top section of the "y" is elastic, as is the small stripe shown on the leg which extends around the back to the other leg affording a great degree of flexibility. The only pockets are the two zippered in the traditional side of the leg. Both are large enough to accomodate a smart phone, cash, gel packs. The waist is adjustable with a non-elasticized belt w/ velcro closure. The inner part or the waist is lined w/ a velvety material w/ a piping cord sew into 80% of the perimeter to stop the waist belt from "flopping" over if your "beer gut" is wont to flop over the top of your shorts.

Got these for Christmas, so have only worn them a couple times. So far, theyre awesome. Not as blousey as others, and i have skinny legs. Very comfortable and enough adjustments for a near-perfect fit! Good looking too. I have a feeling that they may be too hot in warm weather.
