5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent cool weather hiking pants!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Matt from Hutto, TX on Wednesday, January 6, 2016These pants have a stretchy feel but are lined with a thin fleece that is great for cool weather hiking. The waist runs small. I have a 38 waist and that's what I ordered. They are a bit snug but not uncomfortable. The pants are very stylish and can easily be worn on casual occasion. There is no BDU pocket on either leg, and there is a strange zippered pocket on the back of the right leg, about mid thigh.
Overall these seem to be very durable pants. They are warm and comfortable. I would highly recommend! Just be aware they are not summer or warm weather hiking pants due to the fleece lining.
Happy hiking and adventures everyone! -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Glad I read the reviews. Not for summer.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Me from Michigan on Monday, January 4, 2016The reviews steered me in the right direction as these are not light, airy, summer pants. I do however like them for walking in the winter as they do a pretty nice job of stopping the cold wind and have a nice little stretch to them. The but are seems a bit short so its a little strange fit but not a deal breaker. If you are getting them for summer, stay away, otherwise, they are a pretty nice pair of pants.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent Pants designed for cool weather.Reviewed by HikeTeach from Missouri on Wednesday, May 20, 2015These are excellent pants that are designed for cool weather hiking. The Cool Trek name is not about their cooling ability, but rather that they have a soft then lining on the inside that is also insulative. Great construction and design, and clearly intended for cooler weather events. STP should modify their description to make this clear.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great pants but not for hot weatherReviewed by Ed from Chicago on Thursday, May 7, 2015Have had a lot of royal robbin pants and always been pleased with them. These are even better than their normal high standards: fits great, very well made and comfortable etc.
I do feel somewhat misled thinking they were "cooling" pants for summer heat and while they're thermal I don't think you'd want to wear them beyond spring/fall temperatures. -
1.0 out of 5 stars. These Pants are Irregulars/2nd's!Verified Buyer Reviewed by ASHEVEGAS ROBERT from North Carolina on Sunday, November 2, 2014Very simply these pants are a mess..... I wear a size 40 and at best the pair I received were a 38 in the waist, The crotch was very high and unwearable.
Finally the inseam ordered was a 32, these pants were at least 33's or longer....On-line there was no mention of these pants being 2nd's.I would say an error on Trading Post's part. Needles to say- the are getting returned. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Second time ordered!Verified Buyer Reviewed by The Traveling Dad from Ohio on Monday, October 13, 2014I've been losing weight, and my previously ordered pants no longer fit. That said, it was a no-brainer to grab another couple pairs of Cool Trek Pants.
Well made, comfortable, functional, warm (!! - yup, fleeced lined). These are going to be my go-to pants as the weather cools off...probably through the winter as well.
Love, love, love these pants. Can't recommend them highly enough. -

3.0 out of 5 stars. SizingReviewed by Misplaced Bayouboy from TN on Thursday, May 15, 20141st time I ordered by reviews, size larger. All too large in waist. 2nd time I ordered the right size and 3 out of 4 were ok. One pair was tight in waist. Very nice pants if you can get your size. 3 stars because of sizing in waist.
