I am 5'11' and the 8 long is just the right length. The waist is not as high as I would like, the front zipper is short, but the fit is acceptable. I saw a similar pair in a local outdoor store for more than 2x what I paid at STP.

Tried them for a round of golf the other day and enjoyed the weight and freedom of movement. I'm petite sometimes 6 sometimes 8; so I bought the 8 plenty of room, but won't exchange for size because I can layer with thermals for cooler temps and still have room for other closes in my suitcase. More baggy in the legs than tappered.

I originally ordered a size 4 short, they were very BIG - I sent those back and ordered the size 2 also in short. They are a much better fit. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who wants to have convertible pants. Although I haven't removed the bottom part of the pants, I'm glad I have the option to do so if I feel like wearing shorts.
