It's not as thick as it looks in the photo, but it's warm enough, especially when you're active. The only drawback is that the wool is the scratchy kind - it definitely needs to be worn over a long-sleeved shirt. Luckily, the fleece on the hood keeps the wool from being itchy around your face.

It is lightweight, but like a light boiled wool, so it is warm. Not a heavy, outdoor sweater. You can wear this in an office or school. Love it! It is scratchy, but you would wear this over a t-neck anyway. Otherwise perfect. I've never had an issue with quality in a Woolrich product.

I do have to wear an undershirt beneath it or it'll be itchy, but it's still a great sweater!
