love it. A bit too heavy for my ultralight backpacking trips but perfect for car camping and bike riding at night! The bean is super bright w/ 3 levels and i love how it swivel so you can illuminate however far ahead you want. Strap is comfy and adjusts to fit my small head. Very pleased, great price for a high quality product.

I bought this to replace an old bulky Brinkman headlamp, and so far have been very pleased. Pros: Brightness is excellent. Lamp actually has 4 settings - three brightness, and one flashing. The flashing is great while cycling to make yourself more visible to motorists. Headband is wider and grips better than my old Brinkman. The headband adjustment ring is also shaped as a tool for opening the battery compartment, which works great. Even in dark, wet, cold conditions this makes battery swapping easy to do just by feel. The vertical beam adjustment is "notched" meaning it stays put once adjusted, but can be easily re-adjusted with one hand. Cons: Wish it had red LED option. The on switch can be a little hard to use with gloves on. Overall, this is a great deal on a high-quality headlamp. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I haven't had it very long, so can't comment on durability or battery life.

I run trail races which require running at night. I've found that using two lights at once is good way to move during hours of darkness. A strong beam headlamp is recommended for seeing things greater than 15 feet away. This allows you to anticipate what is coming up. For this I wear the light on my head. The additional light is for you to see immediately in front of you so you can decide where to place your feet. Since trails are irregular, sometimes going up or downhills for miles a light that swivels up or down, depending on the terrain is a must. Most headlamps I've used only swivel one way. The Princeton Tec Fuel allows for quick and easy adjustment so the light is always in front of you. It's design which allows quick removal of the included head strap allows for quick and easy installing on any one inch waist band that typically comes with most backpack bladder systems.
