Yup, too thin for Upstate NY Winter By CoolBreeze from Albany, NY on 11/11/2009 Pros: Good Cut, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I keep a coat the office in case I have to go out during the day ... something long enough to fit over a suit jacket and cheap enough that I don't care that much if I forget it someplace. This coat definitely fits that bill, and it's pretty well made, but it's also fairly thin. It'll provide some protection against the elements, but for prolonged exposure to real winter weather, it wouldn't be sufficient. With that caveat, I'd recommend it.

I hesitated buying them because of the very low cost, however, the quality was excellent. I was very impressed with them. I purchased one for a gift and one for myself.
