The double-collar, zippered and buttoned front, and drawstring waist are all nice accents that give this jacket versatility and different looks.
Yes, this coat ships with the pockets sewn shut. This is not an uncommon practice.
I'm 6'4" 195lbs. (slightly taller and thinner than average) so I ordered both a medium and a large. Kept the large, then had my tailor slim down the body of the jacket. If the sleeves were just another 1/2" longer it would be perfect, but I am still very pleased, especially considering the price.
I get many compliments on this coat.

However, it is too heavy for the weather in our part of the world (Tennessee) and I returned it. If we traveled more often to colder climates, it would have been a true keeper.
