Better Than Described! Just Awesome! By Winter Camper from Oregon,Illinois on 11/17/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Dersirable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Extreme Conditions, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather, Winter Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this jacket since I already have the Argon and wanted to move it up a notch and the Beryllium far exceeded my expectations! First of all the style is awesome whether you going up a summit or to the grocery store your gonna look good period! This jacket is designed to not only to make you look goods but function great in any condition you put it through! And here my opinion is where the Beryllium stands out above the rest.I have many other jackets from top designers but the design of this jacket from the zippers to the pro shell is so much better than previous jackets I have. One of the best features is the extra zippers it has a set next to each other on both sides. One for your hands the other for storing this is a great idea. The hood is extra large so you have no problem wearing that large cap without the hood pulling it off your head as you tighten it down to keep you out of the elements. Also if you are wearing a helmet there is more than enough room for that as well. But the most impressionable thing about this jacket is the waterproof pro shell throw any rain or sleet and it just says keep coming! I do alot of outdoor activities especially cold winter camping and this jacket will always go with me! You will not be disappointed if you get this jacket! Plus you cannot beat the price of it trust me I've searched!

By RRG Hiker from Cincinnati, OH on 10/26/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Windproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Extreme Conditions, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is an awesome jacket. After comparing with many other Gore Tex Pro shells, I went with this one due to the price and features. It also fits/looks great.
If you are on the fence about getting a waterproof/breathable non-goretex jacket or getting a goretex one- go for the goretex. I wasted a lot of money and hiking trips dealing with cheaper 'waterproof' jackets and probably spent more money anyways by having to replace them every two years.
