Not worn yet but they seem great! By k from Northern Colorado on 11/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Grip, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Working Outdoors Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Seem great but hasn't been cold enough yet to wear them.
Only problem is that they are listed as for men or women & this affects sizing in that the size small is rather big for a woman with small hands. But not hugely so. The tags inside the gloves say 'mens'.
Also - there is a velcro strap on the wrist that cannot be tightened enough for my wrist size.
Love them anyways. Love that they're down. Haven't found down gloves previously.
grandoe double down gloves By jerseyp from erie, pa on 12/21/2008 Pros: Good Grip, Snug Fit, Warm, Water Resistant, Windproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Downhill, Working Outdoors Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Decent glove, good for when your active but imagine it would get cold if temperature really drops. I did buy a glove liner for this glove and it helps in extreme cold conditions. Good winter mittens will always be warmer but I like the gloves more. They do a decent job of being waterproof but if they get wet, from sweat or snow falling in them they are not nearly as warm. The price was also great for the product.
By Green Mountain Granny from NW Vermont on 12/17/2008 Pros: Snug Fit, Warm, Water Resistant, Windproof Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Didn't buy these for me...but the person I bought the gloves for likes them. Doesn't happen too often,...and even as I placed the order, I figured I'd probably be sending them back. The fact that he likes them is enough for me to give them 5 stars!!
