I ordered a large and it's just right. I'm very average and wear a Medium in most coats. I ordered the large because I wanted to wear this in the winter with bulky sweaters underneath it. That's not going to be the case. It's OK because it will still be great, warmer than I thought. Also, the shoulders sagged so I put in some lightweight shoulders pads and it's perfect.
