Sometimes I get too hot in sweaters, but this one is perfect for layering. Super cute.

The embroidery around the neck dresses it up a bit -- it could be worn under a blazer or on its own with pants or skirt. It's not terribly warm, which is good for layering but not so great if you want a SWEATER.
I disagree with other reviewers: it is not so sheer that it needs an underlayer. Maybe those reviewers are wearing the sweater tighter than I do (I'm small chested), but I don't have a problem with show-through. A camisole underneath DOES make it warmer, however!
