Perfect for rainy weather By annie from Michigan on 11/09/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Lightweight, Versatile Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Definitely order 1 to 2 sizes up. This fit is very tight and if you want to wear any sweater or lightweight fleece under it you will need to go up in size. I recommend two sizes if you want a loose fit.
By Z-town from upstate, ny on 10/22/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great coat. Great classic style and elegant yet very functional for farm chores. It is lightweight yet durable with a thin lining. This is not for a cold winter day, but rather a cool fall day of work or going out activities. It seems to have actually been designed for horse-back riding, because the sleeves have an elongated shape at the shoulder, which would be great for comfort when holding the reins. A plus is that my husband loves the coat, which is rarely the case.
By DB from Portland, Oregon on 09/28/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Versatile Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I live in rainy Oregon, and I walk a few miles daily. I have a nice raincoat, but it no longer keeps me dry. I am shopping for a truly waterproof coat; and I determined that waxed cotton and equestrian coats are the most waterproof.
I am deciding among 4 coats. Of them, this is the best looking, with flattering princess seams and a lovely coffee brown color.
It has 4 exterior pockets (2 handwarmers and 2 cargoes nicely finished) and an interior zippered pocket; and zippers to ventilate the wrist.
It runs small: I wear size 10-12. Size L was snug over a sweater or suit jacket; I exchanged it for XL.
If I keep this coat, I will add a detachable flap inside the front opening which, suited for sitting astride a horse (as are the interior leg straps), admits rain.
