By Eastman from Pine Grove, PA on 02/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Padding, Highly Adjustable, Large Capacity Cons: Lack of pockets, Side pockets unusable Best Uses: 2 - 4 day trips, Extended Hikes Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great bag for the price and comfortable to boot. separate compartment for sleeping bag, i can stuff my kelty 35* bag into it with out the use of a compression sack. comes with a rain fly which is nice.
one of the things i really do not like about this bag is the sleeve for the water bladder, you can fit a 2L bag in it at the most. most bags have a compartment spanning the whole length of the back this just has a small sleeve.
over all it is a nice bag for the price, look around more and compare with some of its competitors before you buy. my best friend bought a High Sierra Sentinel 65 Backpack and it is a great bag! free rain-fly as well but has a small sleeping bag compartment.
hope this helped you. Images shared by: Eastmanlarge sleeping bag crammed into compartment Tags: Picture of Product, Using Product water bladder sleev Tags: Picture of Product, Using Product
I would buy this product again. By blueyes from Holmen, WI on 02/03/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good Padding, Highly Adjustable, Lightweight Cons: Cant carry my 11Lb tent Best Uses: Day Hikes, Extended Hikes, Light Loads, Travel, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The pack is lightweight and very comfortable. It has many pockets for storage. The shoulder straps are well padded. I would recommend this product. The only drawback for me is my 11Lb tent carrying case is a lightweight smooth material and the bottom straps of the backpack allow the tent to slide out of the straps when turning body. I'm considering adding velcro to the pack straps and the tent case straps so the tent doesn't slide out.

A downsize from a large pack I used when I lead backpack trips. Still has plenty of room. Comfortable.
