By Gumper from Cottonwood Heights, UT on 05/20/2009 Pros: Easy To Load, Good Padding, Highly Adjustable, Large Capacity Best Uses: Day Hikes, Extended Hikes, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pack for the price is fantastic. However, I had to return mine (under duress!) because the XS was a bit too small in torso length but perfect in waist belt. I'm 5'4" and measured 16" in the torso ~ about 1/2 to 1" too short. I actually took it to a store to have help in the fit. My suggestion is to go to a store that sells packs & have them measure you. This pack is for more serious outings (overnight, etc.), but for the price it is great for an all-day hike anywhere.

good backpack for a small-framed woman By Jan from Washington DC metro area on 06/14/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy to Pack, Good Back Support, Good Padding Cons: Zips are a little stiff Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good pack for weekend backpacking. Used pack for for first time backpacking trip on Appalachian Trail. Excellent pack, very comfortable, No pinch or pressure points. Easily fit gear for weekend. However, lower compartment will only accomodate a down bag that can be compressed very small. My sythentic bag did not fit.
