By outdoor girl from Wine Country, CA on 07/07/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Set Up Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My husband and I have set up camp on some empty country property that we own. Inside our big Kelty tent (also ordered from STP), we have set up these cots. We put thick foam pads on them and with sheets and a duvet, it's like sleeping in an outdoor hotel room. Great product.
By Colorado Native from Broomfield, Co on 07/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Compact, Dries Quickly, Easy Set Up, Lightweight, Very Sturdy Best Uses: Backyard Campouts, Campgrounds, Outdoor Events Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was pleasantly surprised by this cot. It was both remarkably easy to setup and very, very sturdy. I come in at about 290 lbs and the cot is rated for 325 lbs, so I had my doubts. But it worked beatifully for me. Best night sleep I've had camping in many years.
Field tested and approved By stream crew from reno nv on 06/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Compact, Dries Quickly, Easy Set Up Cons: Heavy, Too big for most tents Best Uses: Campgrounds, Field work, Outdoor Events, Road Trips Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: 100+ nights and still going strong. I have seen countless shooting stars and satellites while car camping for various agencies all while often having uneven rocky ground that would be a real hassle to sent a tent up in. if you have a bivy sac and a good pad this is a safe beat an anything but a snowy windy condition. only issue it is heavy but it is for car camping not backpacking.
