By RA from West Virginia on 10/21/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Downhill Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is an outstanding piece of Gore-Tex equipment. Fit and comfort are great along with the cooling effects of the pit zips. Price was 50% off. I'm glad I bought this jacket.
Nice, but big w long arms. By Mr Gnarl from Calgary, AB. on 10/02/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice jacket, BUT... I'm 5'11 and 41.5" chest 180lbs. I'm a big medium or a small large. Medium stuff is usually too small. I always get large (better too big than too small) and put up with stuff sometimes being slightly big. However, this large is actually large. I live in Calgary. Boarding in -30C sometimes. This is big even with the intention of wearing multiple layers underneath. Chest not much too big, but arms v long. Large size would suit about 6'2", 43" chest unless you like V baggy w long arms (and the extra trick-inhibiting weight that brings - poser noob!) Returned Large for a Medium. From an inspection of the large, this coat is as well designed/built as you'd expect. If you get the deal I did, it's a bargain even if you have to return one to get the right size. Only criticism is weight. The finish on the fabric is nice, but it makes this a little heavier than some gore-tex shells. A little nicer too. Re looks: I'm no fashion victim. I care about performance/$ and spending my savings on other high performance/$ stuff. I try to avoid the fashion filth the boarding industry pumps out each year [...], it'll still be high performance at a great price. Can wear in town without embarassing yourself and/or making people ill too. Thanks Sierra. Great service on the exchange.
