By Eddie the Engineer from Bayfield, Wisconsin on 11/16/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Downhill, Hiking Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Always wanted a MHW coat, love the price. Needed to know I'd be dry and warm in these northern Wisconsin Winters. Plus we're taking the family to Yellowstone/Tetons and I needed two layers, perfect layering.
By Beginning Boarder from Black Hills on 11/16/2009 Best Uses: Backcountry, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The jacket fits snugly when the liner is attached to the shell. When not attached but wearing together, the jacket fits perfectly...something to do with the snaps. It is a great jacket altogether and can't wait to hit the slopes!
By Surfer Paul from New Hampshire on 11/14/2009 Pros: Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket didn't recieve an excellent rating from me based on the fit. While the sleeves are an appropriate length, the jacket itself is fairly short. I am 6 feet tall and weigh about 180 lbs. and ordered the XL. I was suprised to find that the jacket barely falls below my belt. Other similiar jackets (North Face, etc.) have a longer torso which many, myself included prefer. It is still a good jacket for the money but something to keep in mind when considering a purchase.
