Closeouts. These fun-loving ceramic Earthenware canisters by Chefs come in scrumptious colors and are ribbed on the sides for easier handling. The chocolate-brown wooden top fits snugly, but is easily removed with the inverted tear drop knob on top.

By front range mom from Longmont, CO on 10/28/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Bright Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered these in the 'watermelon' color (since sold out?) with a little apprehension that they might not be a true red. But they are -- the color is nice and deep. The canisters are a good shape and size, easy to scoop out of, yet they don't take up too much space/height on the counter. There are rubber gaskets on the lids to help them seal airtight; the large lid's gasket is too thin on my set to actually provide a seal. However, this is a minor issue and not a deal-breaker for me. I looked a long time for red canisters that weren't retro or countrified and I am happy with the modern-ish look of these.

Lids are easy to remove. Three sizes are excellent.

The larger one makes excellent storage for wooden spoons, spatulas, etc. My only disappointment is a picky detail. The color at the rims of the canisters are not the same so that a tiny bit more cream color shows on some but not all.
