The fabric started to fray and pill after one use. I owned another pair of smartwools years ago - they also fit poorly and had the same problem with the fabric. I decided to give them another try this time and had the exact same problems. Won't buy smartwool again. There are other wool brands in the same price range that fit better and don't fall apart.

The style looks like they could be unisex, but the fit is way too small for a man. Therefore, this particular sock is only getting a 2-star rating.

I have laundered them only twice so I do not know about durability. I plan to use them in cooler weather since they are crew length. I did buy 2 additional pairs based on the comfort and price of the first pair.
