By hitopsneaker from Santa Barbara, CA on 10/13/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm Cons: Squeak, Too Stiff/Not Flexible Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Casual/Recreational, Environmentalist Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have never bought shoes (boots) over the internet before so I was somewhat apprehensive about this purchase. My feet are small so it is hard to find good shoes/boots in my size. These are wonderful. (And the squeak might be my socks--still working that one out!) They are a little bit stiffer than I expected but I think that will be just fine over time as they mold to my feet. Thanks! Great product! Will buy again from you guys!
By shefit from oklahoma city, ok on 08/04/2009 Pros: Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Cons: Long Break-in, Not Comfortable, Squeak Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: these are very stiff so i don't recommend hiking in them right out of box. i made the mistake of taking a 14 mile hike over rocky terrain and was in excrutiating pain by the end. rubbed my ankles raw and not much foot bed.
By LM from Corvallis, OR on 03/28/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is actually too soon to comment honestly. Ask in 3 or 4 months when the boots are nicely broken in and I have a chance to go on a couple of long mountain back pack trips.
I like having these made in Italy rather than China. The fit is way better.
