This is a major problem, and caused painful blisters. Other optimistic reviewers stated this issue would resolve once the leather softened, but I'm not so sure. I am NOT one of those ding-dong women who thinks it's ok to require bandaids to protect one's feet. Conversely, the footbed is SUPER comfortable and gives enough support for walking, but the pain of the upper digging into top of foot negates that positive. Overall, the shoe is cute, but conservative. I am disappointed b/c I hold such high regard for Clarks. There are plenty of other similar sandals that don't hurt your skin.

I really liked everything about them but the fit was too big. I was really impressed with the feel of the shoe and the style. The color was the first thing that caught my eye and when I tried them on I was hooked.
