By Urban from Switzerland-Europe on 11/05/2009 Best Uses: All Mountain, Downhill Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Tecnica has a name of a good quality ski boots designer. This one is a real great ski boot with many different possibilities of fittings.
By randolo from Oakland, CA on 10/10/2009 Pros: Adjustability, Comfortable, Warm Describe Yourself: Advanced Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought a pair late last spring at a considerably higher price from another vendor. Was surprised to find that the fitter got me into 28.5 instead of the 29.5's I was replacing (I usually wear 12-13 cuz my feets are on the wide side). Amazingly, the smaller boots fit fine, and are toasty warm with just a skinny liner sock. Given the price break offered by STP, I 'm trying to decide whether I should pick up another pair to stash in the closet...
The manual that comes with them is useless - cartoons without words?!? Yeah right! I highly recommend taking these to a practiced fitter, as there are at least a half-dozen options for tweaking the sizing and stiffness. Better to get it done right by someone with practice than to suffer a poor fit.
