By rsilber from Washington, DC on 02/08/2010 Pros: Lightweight, Versatile, Weather Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very nice boots. Used these recently in a winter climb in New Hampshire up Mt. Adams. Perfect combination of insulation vs. weight. Feet were fine in temps of zero with wind. Great with crampons and snowshoes. Would highly recommend.

I use these for ice climbing.... By Kiwilassy from Boulder, CO on 01/02/2010 Pros: Nice looking, Rugged, Versatile, Weather Resistant, Well made Best Uses: Ice cimbing, Mixed Climbing, Mountaineering Describe Yourself: Avid Climber Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these boots primarily for ice climbing followed by mixed climbing and a little mountaineering. I live in Boulder, CO and wasn't expecting these boots to be as warm as a double boot and in 15ºF (-9ºC) temperatures my toes did get cold, especially while belaying. My second climbing stint 4 days later I wore toe warmers and that was great.
Based on another review, I did buy half a size bigger and they fit perfect with one pair thick ski socks. (Thanks for that review!) I wore them straight out of the box for 7 hours climbing WI3+ with no blisters or pain. I think the reviewer who did get blisters had too smaller boot.
I use these boots with Black Diamond 'Cyborg', clip-in crampons and they work great together. Overall very happy with these boots and price!
In regard to the laces...definitely need to 'cross' them over between putting them through the upper side lace holders and double tie them otherwise they loosen which doesn't feel good halfway up a climb!
