A Step-in Cowboy Boot? Amazing! By Living in the Country from Northern California on 10/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Easy to get on and off, Stable Cons: The color is a little odd Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Riding the fashion wave, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative, High-end shopper, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have wanted a pair of cowboy boots for years but they have always been stiff, or difficult to get on and off, or too pointy or too manly. These are none of those things. I can stand up and slip my feet into them, instead of having to sit down and tug. Same goes for taking them off, I can push each one off with the other foot. This is really helpful if you're not very bendy. They're feminine and they don't make my feet look like boats. And so comfortable on my feet! Amazing boots!

Unfortunately, I took a gamble after reading the comments that they ran big but could be worn true-to-size with bulky socks. Unless you live in a COLD place with HEAVY wool socks, bulky socks aren't going to make up the size difference. I walked around my apartment for at least 15 min on the carpet trying to convince myself that they'd fit. I still can't will them into fitting my feet. Simply beautiful boots.
