These shoes are exactly what I need! By Parellimom from Southern Utah on 10/02/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Stable, Well Made Best Uses: Casual Wear, Riding Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: When I saw a negative review about these shoes I had to chime in.
These shoes were not designed for style, they are made for horseback riding and they are perfect for that. I like that they aren't high tops so my feet stay cooler. They fit great right from the get go and didn't need to be "broken in" like most boots also meant for riding.
They are comfortable enough that on the second day I had them, I wore them to judge a horse show and was on my feet, walking around an arena, from 8am to 7pm and had far less foot fatigue than I've ever had while judging.
I loved that these came in women's 10 1/2 - most shoe makers skip that size - and they fit me perfectly. I usually have to wear an 11 in women's which is just always a half size too big.
I am very happy with them and came back to STP (these are usually around $60 in the stores) to buy a second pair to keep on hand when the first pair wear out - I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get them again if I didn't get them now. That's how much I like them.
