By asgoodasitgets from Philadelphia PA on 10/24/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels full size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Trails shoes are stiffer and better made than ordinary sneakers right? This pair is but yet another one that falls far short of what a trail shoe is all about. Materials are too soft and too weak to support your foot on the trail. The shoes will make you twist your ankle or worst before they will protect you. Absolutely the worst trail shoes coming out of you know where. Too bad that we cannot buy American any more.
Solid shoe with no break-in time needed By huja from SFO on 10/04/2009 Cons: sizing is a little off Best Uses: Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I gambled by taking these new shoes on vacation because I was going to a rainy climate. Fortunately, no break-in period was necessary. There were no hot spots and the last is a not too stiff/not too soft. I ordered a M's 8 and I'd say the fit is closer to 8.5 and the toe box is a bit wider than MED. It turned out fine for me as I put in arch supports and wear thick SmartWool socks. I think those with narrow feet might swim a little in these shoes.
By Dantheman from meadville, pa on 10/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold weather, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes perform quite well and are as advertised, Sizing might be a little big, but my size 14's were only a little too big. I've used these to run trails on 40 degree rainy days and they were great. Kept my feet dry and felt very stable.
