By Brian from Ohio on 02/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Don't Breathe, Heavy Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: PROS: These are great boots, a little heavy, but that's to be expected with winter boots. Very nice traction, very waterproof, and extremely warm. Decent regulation of temperature as there are 2 layers of Gore-Tex. One is a liner of the inside boot while the gaiter also serves as waterproof protection.
CONS: Im a little concerned about the gaiter zipper pull. It seems a little weak and could break after extended rough use. Also, the gaiter doesn't expose the inner boot all the way and it leaves a small pocket around the perimeter of the boot when the gaiter is open. Dirt and debris could get in the pocket and difficult to remove.
These are great boots and I am very satisfied with my purchase. I have tested these on several winter hikes this season.

Thanks for the good product and plan to purchase more in the future.
