I tried another style of Ruffwear in XS and they were too big (and the only size available), so got these in the only size STP has (XXS) for my 25 lb Mini Aussie. Well, the width is correct but they are WAYYY too short front to back (you can actually picture why if you look at the photo). My dog literally was forced to walk on his tip toes because the way the boot is made, there is no bend in it from the back of the hard sole to the velcro. So it forced his whole lower leg to be almost straight, putting him on his toes like a ballerina. I don't know how in the world these got five stars from anyone; my dog has 'normal' feet so if they are too short for him I don't know how they fit any dog.

I have used the Nite Ize collar light with great success, but tried this light because of the price, but have been sorely disappointed. The light comes on randomly as my dog is running or playing fetch. The button to turn it off is unresponsive when this happens. I have to take the battery cover off, remove the batteries for a few minutes and put it all back together. After this happened several times I didn't put it back on the dog. If you are only going to put it on when you want to use it, it will work fine, but if you like to have it on your dog continually and turn it on when needed, I do not recommend.

This is my second of these types of leashes - I would otherwise rate a 5 star, but the plastic catch busted on my last one so the clip won't stay in place. Otherwise, this is a great leash. I use it extensively to run/rollerblade with my dog and also to hike with her. It's nice to be able to clip her off and have both hands free for long runs or hikes, and the elastic makes it so the leash isn't dragging on the ground. I've seen the newer model comes with a metal hook, but I still like the safety of having a quick release buckle rather than a metal hook and loop - in case of any issues, I can quickly undo the leash even under tension, which I don't think would be the case with the newer model. Anyways, great leash option if you and your dog are active!
