seems like a sturdy tool but actually it's ridiculous, who ever heard of a hoe w/ absolutely no edge, none, a real gardener knows a hoe is 4 digging dirt, chopping weeds & etc., but this tool is not ready to work, not even close, I'll have to put an edge on it w/ a file, but I shouldn't have to do that, never seen a hoe without at least a bit of an edge, this tool is not 4 real gardeners

I once cut down an old hoe to this size and found it very useful for grubbing out tough weeds. I gave that tool away to a friend and I'm happy to have 2 new ones. Other reviews which mention loose ferrules are correct. Mine were loose on delivery, but after a day out in Missouri humidity they seem to be holding fine.

The trowel also seems quite sturdy. I propped it up on some concrete and jumped on it (185 lbs). It didn't bend. Buy one while you can.

Great handle length for using in flower beds and small garden. Will have to wait for a little cooler weather in Texas to give it a real workout! So far, so good.

I can hardly find gardening tools this solidly built anymore, and certainly not at sierra prices.
Only potential weakness is that the head is glued, but has no screw to secure it - and no hole in the metal. Might take a little work down the road if the original glue gives out. Unlike many products today it will be worth a little work to repair this tool....
