Information about Ruko Canvas Desert Boots (For Men and Women)
2nds, barely perceptible blemishes. With a lightweight canvas upper, fully gusseted tongue and heavy-duty outsole, Ruko's canvas desert boots are durable, ready for warm weather and fashionable enough for casual wear all summer.

Although very inexpensive, these boots look and feel about as good as the $5ish dollars you pay for them. In their description they say durable, and fashionable. These are both words I would not use to describe these boots.

According to the chart as a women's size 8 I should order a men's sz 7. I did. They were huge.
I then exchanged them for a 5, which is the size I usually wear in a men's shoe. They are a bit too small, but I'm probably not up to the hassle of returning and exchanging a second time.
So buy these at your own risk.

I picked these up because they were dirt cheap on sale (although I don't recall the ones I purchased being labeled as "seconds"). Anyway, I wasn't expecting much at the price, but I didn't think they'd be as uncomfortable as they are. They have no insoles or lining, and anyone who requires some arch support is going to have a rough time. The soles are on the stiff side and look like they'd be pretty durable. I found these uncomfortable to stand in (forget about walking) and the caps over the toes pressed down on my big toes, which would have quickly become painful if I'd worn them for any length of time. For these reasons if I had to get these again I'd get a size bigger than usual and wear a double layer of socks. They are clearly no substitute for real desert or hiking boots but at the price they might be a good value for some people -- and they do make something of a fashion statement. Just don't forget those socks!

true to size .it is true that they smell for days so it;s best to let them sit in the garage for a while..truly thick soles in a jungle boot style with nice canvas uppers.the laces are cheesy but easy to switch out with regular boot laces (which i did) for the 10.50 i paid i found it's the best deal around on these and a great value and well made....blems ?????i didn't see any on my pair. i'm really happy with them
