I cranked for about 1-2 minutes and nothing. I cranked again for 5 minutes straight and still nothing. All I got was a good arm work-out. Returned it. Maybe mine was just defective, but decided to not take the chance on another one. Great idea though :-(

Great to keep in car or bedside for power outages, etc. But primarily use it in daypack to illuminate predawn hikes without using up batteries or worrying about dead batteries. It is always ready in an emergencies when hiking.

Wanted this for emergencies and haven't had to use it yet but have played around with it. Draws in local radio station very well but am unsure as of now how long the battery will last before another cranking is needed. Still, I think it will perform as expected.

Ufotunately this was a gift for my husband. We never got to try it because the crank handle broke immediately and we will be returning this product.

I had one other crank-powered radio-flashlight combo, but the handle broke the third time I had to charge it and the radio reception was very weak. This one seems to be stronger and the reception is very good. I wish it had a solar charger too.

I got it two years ago for the occasional power outages we have, and have used it 3 times for less than an hour. This last time the crank handle broke where it meets the circular base. It's indeed flimsy. Since the crank is essential, I wouldn't recommend this product.

Not a bright floodlight, but ok for light duty emergency backup in home or car. So just turn it around and crank it if your lefthanded, quit complaining about the righthanded world conspiracy.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this flashlight covered in a rubbery outer, rather than just cheap plastic as it looks in the picture. It's a nice little flashlight and the radio functions well. The light on the handle is only a red flasher, though, and I thought it was like a lantern bar. Great 4 keeping in the car or basement 4 emergencies. Not too big, not too small.
