    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I have a solio but since the appalachian trail is mostly forested I needed something to be able to charge my phone with for emergencies so I purchased this. This dynamo seemed like a good idea but it is not very effective. While turning the crank it will be charging the phone one second and not the next. This is not a very good product because it really doesn't work, at least the one I recieved doesn't.
