GREAT, WELL MADE CASE WITH SEPERATE SECTIONS FOR EACH REEL SECTION. IT IS VERY WELL PUT TOGETHER, AND SEWN. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO A FRIEND, AND WOULD PURCHASE IT FOR A GIFT FOR ANYONE THAT I WANTED TO GIVE A NICE GIFT. I HAVE GIVEN ONE TO A FRIEND ALREADY, AND HE LOVES IT.

I bought these for a longish paddling trip and am using if for my four piece fly rod because I want to keep it handy. The rod fits but not sure about the reel yet. Great, sturdy but fairly light case for an awesome price.
Ordered the case for a friend who had a 7'6" fly rod and it fit with room to spare.Would imagine it should work as you only need 1/4" space.Sometimes a close fit can be worked out especially if you don't need a rod sock or extra padding in the end.

YES,I have several of these case's, and use them on a 5 pc, 22' each, 8' 6" rod that works fine; only is a little long, but I have placed a cloth stop in each slot that separate the pieces. I also use one on my 4 pc 9' 0" rod/reel with no problem; each piece is 28 3/4" long, so you should have no problem with your application. at that price, I sent back and got 3 more; it is hard to find a case with rod piece separation slots for such a low price. with others at this price you need a cloth bag to separate the pieces. this is a well made product that I love to use.

This case was originally designed for the 3 Sage Bass Fly rods that were 4 piece 7ft 11" rods. The rod models were the Bluegill, Smallmouth , and Largemouth. The rod case 28.5 inches long. http://www.flyfishingoutfitters.com/p/s/viewitem.aspx?pid=rod-sag-bas2-23b
