No comparison, these are much better. Fabric is more comfortable, the pockets have zippers to keep stuff from falling out, and it's easy to move around in them. I'm 5'11, 190, and ordered the 36x32 size. Fits true to size. Would like to have in a charcoal or dark grey, but the dark brown looks pretty decent too.

Nice construction, fits well, very light, zippers work well and zip smoothly. Like the built in belt feature and several extra concealed pockets. My only complaint is the cuff at the bottom is rather large; it would have been nice if they were more tapered with a zipper or something like that. Otherwise a good product.

My husband liked these enough that we returned exchanged them for the next size...we haven't received those yet.
