Salomon Avo Mid Boots - Thinsulate® - Waterproof (For Women)

Great for cold weather, and wet weather.

Finally got a chance to use these boots on a trip to the mountains. They are stiff but very stable, with a super soft lining, and they kept my feet toasty warm. I can't wait to try them out with snowshoes when the snow is deeper!

I tried a lot of winter boots before I settled on these, but I knew they were the right ones as soon as I put them on! These are very snug to the foot, I ordered a full size up from my usual shoe size so that I could wear thick socks with them. However, that snugness and form-fitting shape keeps my feet even more warm than a normal clunky boot, and gives my feet extra stability. The soles are thick, cushiony, and not very flexible. This feels almost like a snowboard boot, which isn't surprising given that it's Salomon after all. The solid exterior is stylish and easy to clean. Very sporty look! The toe is wide and rounded; I know some people don't for that kind of look but I like it, and it gives extra room in the toe box.

These seem to run slightly big, but since they are boots, I will keep this size. I can wear thicker socks. They feel good and soft. They are kind of furry inside and around the ankle. The ankle part is a little stiff at first but will be fine once broken in.

I purchased these boots for our winter vacation. They feel great and keep my feet warm.

Nice comfortable fit like a dress shoe. Warm and snug, minimal sock roll because fit is so good. Absolutely waterproof and kind of snappy looking also. I like em.

They are great but a little heavy for my liking, otherwise they ROCK

These boots are a little stiff, but support your foot and ankle all through the day. I wore these for the first time on a very very cold Minnesota morning, and my feet were very dry and comfortable. I would seriously consider purchasing another pair of the same brand.
