Closeouts. A better name for Salomon’s Chill Out winter boots might be Warm Up, thanks to their exceptional comfort rating of -1°F and warm, low-bulk Thinsulate® insulation. Polyurethane-coated leather upper is fully waterproof.
shorter boot than I thought, and where the boot ties on the ankle is painful and even when loosening and trying to break these in not very comfortable when walking alot in snow covered sidewalks. but it is warm and keeps the snow out.

These shoes are great for cold weather, it says on the box that one should feel comfortable with these shoes for the up to -18.5 celcium temperature. Haw no doubt about that. Usally I wear 11.5 ordered this size and it fits well.

I live in Montreal Quebec & the weather can be very annoying. We get days where it's 25-30 below (Celsius). These boots have great grip & with a goog pair of thick socks these boots hold up great in these weather conditions even though it's only good for only up to minus 17 degrees. These boots stand up just fine for Montreal cold weather ( slush, snow, ice & cold water ) these boots will keep you warm just fine.

Light weight daily snow sneakers. I spend my year on snow...work and recreation. I am so tired of packed out pacs. I stand in and on snow with relative little cold transfer. Good for most applications except the coldest of days I would like something heavier.
