Started using them for hiking right out of the box. Super comfortable!

nice shoe, waterproof, durable. i wear a six, but it feels almost like a 6 1/2, which works well if you wear thick socks or need the room for the downhill trek. would order them again.

I was considering trying a hiking shoe rather than boot, but the heel slip in these would probably bother me on the trail. I'm sending them back and will order some boots, but these seem like a very good, stable shoe if they fit properly. That said, I normally wear a 6W and find these in a 6 to be very comfortable in the forefoot, with plenty of wiggle room. Narrow heels may have the same problem I had, slipping up with each step.

Love Salomon. Perfect for my hard t fit feet. These are very comfortable, right out of the box.

Bought these to use on safaris in Namibia and South Africa. Very comfortable, broad in toe (which I like), good arch, a little loose in heel, but not enough to return. Now trying to decide whether to take these really comfortable ones or Salomon boots (less comfortable, but snake proof).

This is a great-looking, well-constructed shoe, that runs too big. I returned mine for a size smaller.

I have always liked Salomon shoes, because of their Ortholites. These shoes were a little bit bigger than the 9's I ordered. Other than that, comfortable shoe and great for hiking.

This is my third pair of Salomon Exits (or their predecessor) in nine years, and I wear them at least half the time for everything from walking around town, bike commuting, and day hiking. So obviously they are durable, and I like them a lot. They are very sturdy and have great grip. These are my favorite of the three I've had because they are a little less chunky in the toe area, but still plenty of room, and the dark grey/light blue color scheme is very cute. I am a severe overpronator who loves the support provided by the shoes, and my orthotics fit very well in them.

Comfortable right out of the box; good looking shoe. First time I tried a Salomon product and I will likely buy more in the future.
