Salomon F20 Snowboard Boots (For Women)

Not sure if it was just the boots that I recieved but they did not have a removable liner which is necessary for touring especially over nights. These are great boots otherwise.

I just took these boots along with Solomon bindings out for 3 days of all mountain snowboarding. The boots fit great. I had no complaints taking the boots out for their first runs! I went with the typical half size smaller than my street shoes. These boots hugged my heel really nicely. The lacing system is great!!! Super easy to use and great for tightening down your boots, and never coming untied or loosening. Solomon's lacing system is rad and anyone who can't figure it out should try kindergarten again... I really like my boots, and they are super cute too.

The boots packed out a full size and a half within a week of riding. The lacing system must be readjusted every other run, and breaks very easily. The construction of the boots causes pain in the heel and top of the foot after pack-out. All in all, this is the worst boot I have worn in 12 years of constant riding.

i have the exact same line of boots from 5 or 6 yrs ago and loved them, the problem with other boots that i had was heel lift which is gone with this boot BUT the top/tongue of the boot has a hard "shoehorn" structure inside it which was very very uncomfortable, after 2 days of using it (downhill only, no park)i can't feel the top of my feet and my feet were very cold b/c of this as well.

After trying some rental Burtons and trying on a few other styles of snowboard boot in the store, I was extremely pleased when the Salomon F20's arrived. They are so much lighter than most other boots and fit way better. I have a wide, but "low volume" foot and a very narrow heel. Most other boots cause tons of heel lift. This is the only boot that doesn't do that for me! One nice thing about the Fusion system is that it makes your foot a half-size or more smaller in the boot - great so you don't worry about toe drag if your feet are on the larger size like mine. These boots are so comfortable, I almost forget I'm wearing snowboard boots. You can lace them up tight for a very responsive/stiff fit, or loose for a more flexible fit. I found the lacing system to be simple and quick. I didn't experience the problem with the tongue of the boot hitting in the wrong place, so not sure what's up with that - I imagine like any boot or shoe, there are going to be people for whom the fit is not great. But for me, I'm sold on the F20s. The only thing I don't like? The prissy lace detail at the top of the boot and the pink accents. But, who cares? No one sees the top of your boot but you anyway.

When bending my foot, a crease occurred on top of my foot just below my toes. This would become painful after a short time.

These boots are like wearing regular snowboots but even lighter. The stabilizer in the tonuge of the boot will hit your foot in a strange place if you don't pull it up all the way, but I have no complaints otherwise. The quick-lace system is fantastic. I don't even have to take my mittens/gloves off to make an adjustment.
