“Years ago, I tried some Saloman's efforts at the burgeoning casual/athletic shoe market. I never connected because Asian 12s were always 1/2 size shorter. This one at 12 1/2 (hard length to find) does very nicely. I noticed the tongue is not gusseted and no provision on top of it to put laces through like you find on most tennie types. I say this because in the short time I've worn them, the tongue starts slipping down into the shoe, with or without sox. I suppose there are some that don't mind the "bunching" effect down there, but I do. I can probably rig a fix as I'm wanting to try them out as a summer golf shoe because of the nicely designed tread pattern. Should be very cool out on the links.”
