Salomon Light Amphibian 2 Water Shoes (For Men)

Although I listed the "Con" as dries slowly, it is a water shoe, and is supposed to be wet, so only a con if you wexpect the shoes to dry quickly. I think that they are great. The collapsable heel makes for a great, quick, slip on shoe for camping and around the house as well.

Years ago, I tried some Saloman's efforts at the burgeoning casual/athletic shoe market. I never connected because Asian 12s were always 1/2 size shorter. This one at 12 1/2 (hard length to find) does very nicely. I noticed the tongue is not gusseted and no provision on top of it to put laces through like you find on most tennie types. I say this because in the short time I've worn them, the tongue starts slipping down into the shoe, with or without sox. I suppose there are some that don't mind the "bunching" effect down there, but I do. I can probably rig a fix as I'm wanting to try them out as a summer golf shoe because of the nicely designed tread pattern. Should be very cool out on the links.

I really like the shoes. However, there is little support and I needed to use a shoe-stretcher to make one shoe fit a little better (OK, a lot better!!). Since doing that, I'm very happy with my purchase. When summer comes, the first thing I'm going to do is test these shoes out in water.

don't know how durable they are since I just got them

Very light weight and well ventilated. The lack of a lining and heel padding makes the shoes less comfortable than a more traditional style. I think the shoes can take the place of carrying both sandals and shoes on a trip.

Great shoes for light activities

I use this product for fording streams when I backpack. They work great. They are lightweight and provide good traction. My only complaint is that they don't come with zip ties.
