I wanted winter shoes that would be good in the snow, but also comfortable to wear at work. I am a teacher and am on my feet most of the day. After wearing these shoes for a couple of weeks, I can say that they fit the bill. They are also fairly easy to get on and off, although at first were a bit stiff. The look is slightly clunky, but I have received several positive comments about them.

I wear a 5 1/2 in a shoe and find it extremely hard to find this size. The majority of shoes/boots start at size 6. I was so excited when I saw this item in 5 1/2 so I had to try it. It is a little big but I am going to put an insole in it so it fits a little tighter. Please continue to carry the smaller sizes in footwear.

I live in Edmonton, Canada and we've recently had some of the coldest temperatures in our city's history (-46C/-50F). I took this opportunity to test these shoes in a regular daily environment. I take public transit; with heavy snows and traffic snafus, it's likely that you could be waiting outside for twenty to thirty minutes. I found these shoes performed very well in this weather, as long as I was wearing heavy socks. If I only wore my thin, dress socks...the shoes themselves seemed to cool off. But if I had a decent pair of thick cotton (gym) socks or wool socks I had no problem! The weather has finally broken, just this week (-20C/-4F), and with the remaining snow drifts and icy sidewalks, these shoes have a great grip and keep my feet very comfortable. I had a chance to take them out into deep snow, and with snow pants, my ankles stayed fairly protected. If you're heading into deep snow/trekking you should consider a boot or hiker. For urban areas, where snow pile-up doesn't get too deep, these are perfect! I've recommended these to all my friends because they're light enough to wear in the mall while shopping (with boots, your feet overheat when you spend too much time inside) yet heavy enough to wear at the bus stop in minus 40-degree weather.

I work both indoors and out every day. Normally I would change into boots to go outside even if there is no snow. No need for that with these shoes, they keep my feet the perfect temperature! I wish I had bought 2 pair!

Living in Alaska, I am always on thr lookout for winter gear. These are perfect for running around town, to and from work and even look great enough to wear as inside shoes ( a little warm though). A great product!

My orthodics fit inside-and I've been wearing them all day cutting back the garden, raking leaves and around town. They are extremely comfortable, warm and waterproof enough to walk the dogs in the fields in the morning dew and not get my feet wet. They are a little heavy and the beige make my size 11 feet look enormous. I think they are ulgy but others said they look really nice.
