“These are the stiffest 'soft' snowboard boots that I can find. Perfect for freeriding or carving, not ideal for freestyle. The do still flex forwards and backwards a functional amount. I normally wear size 15 US street shoes. I have previously worn size 31.0 (US 13.5) Salomon Dialogue boots that are a from quite a few seasons back. I dropped down to size 30.5 in these boots, which is tight at first but packing out well. The outers easily fit, the liner needs to stretch a little. It feels like this is happening natural, if not I will have the liner stretched by a boot fitter. My favorite feature of this boots is about stopping heel lift. Inside the liner, there is horse hair (or similar) around the heel. It is aligned so that if your heel raises, it pushes against the grain. Therefore, the material is soft but helps stop your heel from raising inside the boot. Clever. There is also an ankle strap that links the outer to the liner, adding to the responsive feel of the boot.”
