These boots are a great addition to my winter gear for cold, snow covered Maine. I was immediately pleased as these boats have a foot bed that feels as comfy as a sneaker. The boots are tall enough to mantain good coverage in deep snow. The only reason I didn't give these boots 5 stars is the fact that the black suede accents on the tongue bled onto the off white material on first use causing discoloration.

These are good for stomping around in cold and snow. They're not the most stylish of footwear, but they look decent with jeans and are acceptable at the office for casual dress.

These are comfortable and nice for active outdoor use, my feet got a little cold while just standing around, but were toasty while snowshoeing. They are a little stiff, which I like as it feels more supportive while snowshoeing. I found out they have very good traction when I accidently used them to go out to feed my horses. My Kodiaks are much more slippery. These Salomons do look big and clunky but I think they're a good value.

These arrived a few days before a massive ice storm in New England. I wore them for days after the storm. My feet stayed warm. They had nice support at the ankles. Very comfortable. Great traction.

I liked the boots, but they were very boxy and heavy (for a small size), which is probably because of the very warm (400g)insulation. I returned them for this reason. I suspect this would not be the case for a large size, but in a size 6, they felt nearly as wide as they were long! I recommend them with this caveat.

I live and work on Ranch. I wear these boots alot while I am working. They are very comfortable and warm especially being out on the cold mornings. These boots are pretty much all I wear all winter long. I will be purchasing another pair. I am an avid hiker and snowshoer. The boots are fabulous for mud season and fantastically comfortable in the snowshoes. The traction is great especially when newer, I still use yak trax to help while on the icy areas!
