It said to order a 1/2 size smaller but should have been 1 size, they were too big for me. I loved the look but did not like the feel...too rough inside. Since they were too big for me I let my daughter try and they fit her and she is keeping them.

These are nice-looking shoes--the colors really appealed to me. BUT, I didn't like the way that the back is just a flap with straps--my foot kept sliding up and down when I walked, even though I tightened the strap in the back. Based on reviews, I had ordered a half-size smaller, so the length was okay, but I guess the heel is too wide for me. Besides, it's just too easy to get rocks/dirt in your shoes with big openings on both sides of the heel. Also, the inside was too coarse against my feet--okay with socks, but not barefoot. Back at ya.

I originally purchased what is probably this shoe's ancestor back 2005. I practically lived in the shoe through every terrain, from Southwest desert, Southeast flooding, to Northeast and Northwest springs and autumns. They haven't completely fallen apart, but I wanted to replace them before they do. The new color schemes and construction in the Tech Amphibs 2 and 3 are honestly not as good. While this TA2 is far better than the pair of TA3 I purchased from another store, they will take a while to break in. The color scheme in TA2 is lighter than I expected, but still preferable to those of the TA3. The TA3 looked cheaply constructed, fit poorly, and was quite uncomfortable out of the box (so it was sent right back to the store). I can see these TA2s as a good lightweight running shoe for particularly rainy days. The rest of the time, they will not suffer much dirt. The only upgrade over TA1 is the new velcro tab to secure the loose end of the lacing system.

I bought one pair and then ordered a second--I plan to use these as my summer garden shoes. I wear them with a very light ankle sock which keeps my feet a little cleaner where there is loose dirt. If they get wet from the hose they dry quickly, and the sole is good grip for wet slippery areas.
